Cookies and local storage

The cookies and browser local storage METAQUANTICS uses, and what for.

In short

No advertising or tracking cookies

METAQUANTICS does not load analytics tools, advertising, social media pixels or third-party trackers. The cookies the system itself creates keep you signed in, unlock your Store sources and remember your language. Everything else is preferences stored in your browser.

This page lists every cookie and all the local storage METAQUANTICS uses in your browser: the name, the type, the purpose, how long it stays and whether it is essential. The list was built from the system code. Every new storage key goes into a single registry, which this page reads.

Almost everything the system keeps in the browser is your preferences and your work (boards, lists, alert rules). That data stays only in this browser and is not sent to the server, except where the table says otherwise.

What cookies and local storage are

  • Cookies are small pieces of text the site saves in the browser, which the browser sends back to the server with every request. METAQUANTICS uses cookies only when the server needs the information: the session, the Store pass and the page language.
  • localStorage and sessionStorage keep data in the browser without sending it to the server. localStorage lasts until it is deleted. sessionStorage lasts while the tab is open.
  • IndexedDB is a local browser database, for larger volumes.
  • Cache Storage keeps copies of site files so the site opens faster and works without a network. The service worker is what uses it.

When any of this data identifies you, such as the account e-mail inside the session cookie, its processing follows the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018), as described in the Privacy Policy.

Cookies

These are the cookies METAQUANTICS sets. There are no other first-party cookies.

Name or prefixTypePurposeDurationEssential?
metaquantics_masterCookie (HttpOnly, set by the server)Account session. It holds, signed by the server, the account e-mail, the role (user or administrator) and the plan. Without it you cannot sign in or use restricted areas. The browser cannot read it from JavaScript (HttpOnly). It is sent only to the same site (SameSite=Lax) and, in production, only over HTTPS (Secure).Up to 12 hours. It is deleted when you sign out, when the account is suspended or when the administrator ends sessions.Yes
metaquantics_storeCookie (HttpOnly, set by the server)Data Store pass. It holds, signed by the server, the account e-mail and the list of unlocked paid sources and of sources you removed. The server uses the pass to allow or block data routes without querying the database on every request. It is also HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure in production.Up to 30 days. It is rewritten on every app load with a session and deleted when there is no session.Yes
metaquantics-localeCookie (set by the browser)Chosen language (pt-BR, en or es), so the server delivers the page and its title in your language right away. The same value is kept in localStorage under the same name.1 year. SameSite=Lax, and Secure over HTTPS.No: functional (your preference)
osiris-localeCookie (set by the browser)Old name of the language cookie, from before the brand change. If it exists, its value is copied to the new cookie and the old one is deleted on the first visit.Deleted on the first visit. No: functional (your preference)

Local storage (localStorage)

Each row groups the keys of one feature. All of them start with the metaquantics prefix. They stay in the browser until you delete them and are not sent to the server, except where the row says otherwise. None is essential to open the site: without them, the system goes back to its default settings.

Some keys get a variable suffix. The layout of each Console board, for example, is stored in metaquantics.ops.deck.v1:<board id>.

Tab data (sessionStorage)

metaquantics.ops.correlation-history.v1sessionStorageSnapshot of the last correlation cycle seen in this tab. It is used to show the trend of correlation cards when the server does not have the previous cycle.Until the tab is closedNo: functional (your preference)

sessionStorage also goes through the old-name migration described below.

Local database (IndexedDB)

Name or prefixTypePurposeDurationEssential?
marauder_v8IndexedDBWorld Remote vault. It keeps the nearby Bluetooth devices you choose to save, with the name and the data read from the device, so they are still there after reloading the page. The vault is only created when you open World Remote, and nothing in it goes to the server.Until you clear the vault in World Remote itself or delete the site dataNo: only if you use the feature

Service worker cache

In the published version, a service worker keeps copies of files so the site opens faster and has a useful screen without a network. It is not registered in development.

Name or prefixTypePurposeDurationEssential?
metaquantics-v*Cache Storage (service worker)Static build files (scripts, styles, the map library), the /offline page and the base screens of / and /console you already visited. Live data (/api) never goes through this cache.Until the next version of the site. On activation, the new version deletes the caches of previous ones. No: functional (your preference)
metaquantics-v*-basemapCache Storage (service worker)Label fonts and icons of the base map (Carto and OpenFreeMap), capped at 50 MB. The oldest ones are removed first.Until the next version of the site or until the cap is reachedNo: functional (your preference)

If you turn on push notifications in the Alert Center, the browser creates a push subscription and the server stores it to send alerts. It goes away when you turn the channel off or revoke the notification permission in the browser.

Old names (brand migration)

Until October 2026 the system used the osiris prefix in storage keys and in the language cookie. On the first visit after the change, a script copies each old key to the new name, without overwriting a value that already exists, and deletes the old one. Nothing leaves the browser in this process. The migration will be removed after two releases.

Third-party content

Some features show content from other sites inside METAQUANTICS: live streams from news channels, most through the youtube-nocookie.com domain and some through youtube.com; public traffic and city cameras; and the base map tiles. This content only loads when you open the feature.

These providers may set their own cookies or data on their own domain, under their own policies. METAQUANTICS does not read or control that data and does not use it to measure or follow you. To block it, use your browser setting that blocks third-party cookies.

How to view and delete

You control everything on this page:

  • Signing out deletes the session cookie. The Store pass is deleted on the next load without a session.
  • In the browser settings, the option to clear cookies and site data deletes all cookies, local storage, IndexedDB and the service worker cache of this site at once.
  • To delete only part of it, open the browser developer tools (Application or Storage tab) and remove the keys you want by name.
  • Before clearing, you can save your preferences with Export settings, in the account menu. The metaquantics-settings.json file can be brought back later with Import settings.

Deleting is permanent

What lives only in the browser has no copy on the server. When you delete it, boards, lists, alert rules and local histories of this browser are lost, unless you exported them first. If the browser blocks local storage, as in some private windows, the system works with its default settings and does not remember your choices.

What the Style Studio Reset does

The Reset everything to the theme defaults button, in Style Studio, deletes only the metaquantics:style-studio key, where your colors are stored, and removes the custom styles from the page right away. The theme goes back to the system default colors.

It does not touch the text size (stored in metaquantics.app.appearance.v1), the language, lists, boards or any other data on this page. It does not delete cookies either.

Changes to this page

When the system starts using a new cookie or storage key, this page is updated and the last updated date at the top changes. To learn how we handle personal data, see the Privacy Policy.
